Attaching Greatest Importance to Congress of the Children's Union

He gave instructions on several occasions in July alone for the successful holding of the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union.
On July 12, he said that the congress should be regarded as a politically important one and gave specific tasks for its preparations. On July 15, he stressed the need to prepare the congress of the Children's Union with much effort like the Party congress and gave precious instructions on the selection of the delegates.
He paid special attention to the attire and bags of the delegates of the Children's Union as well.
Saying school uniforms, bags, shoes and socks should be made specially well for the delegates, he saw that their bodies were measured before they came to Pyongyang to tailor them well-fitting uniforms with consideration given to their fast growing.
One day in September, he called the officials again and proposed making duck feather-padded clothes and winter shoes for the delegates since the congress was to be held in winter, and took measures for the purpose.
He said with pleasure: We have already made new school uniforms for the delegates to the congress of the Children's Union. If we provide them with winter clothes, they will be very beautiful.
Under his meticulous guidance, the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union was held with splendour in the capital city of Pyongyang at the end of December 2022.
