Go among the People
The great leader Kim Il Sung is the father of socialist Korea.
He embarked on the road of the revolution in his teens, defeated two imperialist powers in one generation and built on this land a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.

He led the revolution by relying on the people, finding himself among them all his life.
One day in April Juche 83(1994), he met a journalist delegation of a country.
At that time, members of the delegation asked him what his hobbies are. Kim Il Sung told them that he enjoys reading books and mixing with the people to share life with them and talk with them, adding:
Books are silent teachers; the people are the most resourceful and best-informed teachers for me. They embody a mix of philosophy, economics and literature. Consequently, I always mix with them and learn from them.
This story was reported to the whole world through newspapers and broadcasters. The world people were deeply moved by his greatness.
Later, Kim Il Sung wrote in his reminiscences "With the Century" as follows:
I started my revolutionary activities by going among the people and today, too, I am continuing to make the revolution by mixing with the people. I am also reviewing my life by going among the people.
  "Go among the people!"
It was the lifelong political creed of Kim Il Sung who thoroughly applied to practice his motto of believing in the people as in heaven.
