Condolatory address
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a condolatory address at the funeral service for the late Kim Yong Nam on the 5th.
He said:
Kim Yong Nam was one of the excellent and ardent revolutionaries and genuine patriots produced by the Korean people, who left clear traces in keeping the validity of the great revolutionary idea and line and defending the politico-ideological might, rights and interests of our state while following our Party and writing a glorious biography together with it for nearly 80 years.
As a prominent politician and long-standing senior official of the WPK and the DPRK, he made strenuous efforts by devoting his life to the country and revolution and he has enjoyed deep respect and love of the entire people for his noble traits and personality and feats. His whole life was a brilliant career of true son intensely loyal to the country and people.
Kim Yong Nam grew up under the trust of the Party and the leader and enjoyed happiness and glory of human life on the road of supporting the Party and the leader with sincerity. Though he passed away, his traces clearly left in history will not be covered up and his noble revolutionary spirit of loyalty will remain alive in the hearts of all of us forever, Premier Pak Thae Song added.
