Performance given to celebrate 76th anniversary of DPRK
  A performance was given in front of the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang on the 9th to celebrate the 76th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
  It was enjoyed by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and other senior officials of the Party and the government, deputies to the SPA, labour innovators, meritorious persons, officials of the ministries and national agencies, officers and men of the People's Army, teaching staff and students of the revolutionary schools, Pyongyang citizens and inhabitants from the flooded areas staying in Pyongyang.
  Invited to appreciate the performance were overseas compatriots including the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan on a visit to the homeland on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the DPRK, foreign diplomatic representatives and members of foreign missions in the DPRK and other foreigners.
  The national anthem of the DPRK was played.
  The performance started with the song "The Glorious Motherland" in praise of the country. Put on the stage were various items including famous songs of patriotism which were loudly sung in the years of gigantic struggle for building and glorifying our great state.
  Fireworks were set off in succession, making the end of the performance conspicuous.
